 | | Deborah Gibson | Deborah Gibson and Daniel Guzman will star in the Cabrillo Music Theatre's production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's The King and I, to run October 17-26 at the Kavli Theatre in Thousand Oaks, California. No other casting has been announced.
The production will be directed by Lewis Wikenfield, with musical staging and choreography by Heather Castillo, choreography by Irene Cho, and musical direction by Daryl Archibald.
Gibson, who will play Anna Leonowens, has starred on stage in Cabaret, Les Miserables, Cinderella, Grease, Beauty and the Beast, Funny Girl, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and is also a top-selling recording artist. Guzman, who will play the King of Siam, has starred in A Chorus Line, Camelot, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cyrano, and Evita, and recently played Grantaire in the Hollywood Bowl's concert staging of Les Miserables.
