Keith Kirkwood will star in Doug Wright's Pulitzer Prize-winning solo play, I Am My Own Wife, to play Mad Cow Theatre, July 15-August 9, with an opening on July 17. Alan Bruun will direct.
The show tells the extraordinary story of the German transvestite Charlotte von Mahlsdorf, who managed to survive two of the 20th century's most brutal regimes -- Hitler's Third Reich and the Communist-controlled East Germany. Kirkwood will play over 35 different characters, including both Charlotte and Doug Wright.
