 | | Con O'Neill | Con O'Neill will take over the role of Kenneth Halliwell in Simon Bent's Prick Up Your Ears at the West End's Comedy Theatre
on October 22. He will replace Matt Lucas, who left for personal reasons.
The production, which is directed by Daniel Kramer, stars Chris New and Gwen Taylor. It features design by Peter McKintosh, lighting by Peter Mumford, and sound by Gareth Owen.
The work, a darkly comic play inspired by Joe Orton's diaries and the John Lahr biography of the same name, examines the relationship between Orton and lover Kenneth Halliwell, which ended tragically in 1967 when Halliwell bludgeoned Orton to death before committing suicide.
